Quick Testing: No Solution
Today I jumped back into the interactable design to see if I could figure out what I broke. I'm not sure what's happening but the behavior is just not stable anymore. I think I changed something when I updated the omni tool in the code. Before I messed with that, everything seemed stable. I thought maybe it had to do with saved data, so I deleted my save file and started fresh. But that didn't fix anything.
I did a search through my code, hoping maybe I had left a reference to the old name for the tool, but that came back with nothing. So, today I raised another issue, unstable interactables. Eventually, I figure it out and fix it, but for now it's good enough, it mostly works, and maybe if I work on something else, the solution to this problem will show itself.
