Quests: A Path Forward
Today I jumped into building out my first quests using the definition I created yesterday. I decided the best approach to start was going to be just making a few initial introductory quests to see how the structure would work. The easiest way to do that was to get Gemini to do it for me, so I started by feeding in the one example quest I had along with the quest definition.
Then I started describing the quests and their details. It spat out something, with some wrong data, so I asked it to fix a few things. I repeated that process a couple of times until the few quests looks how I expected. Sure, there's nothing in the game yet that even works with quests, but it's a start!
Now that I have a quest definition, and a few quests defined, I can move on to adding quest loading to the data manager! That's going to be my next step, then I can finally move on to the quest manager itself.
