Should Not Have Done That
Ugh, I don't know what I was thinking. . . Skipped working on the game two days in a row! It's bad enough for me to skip at all, but even worse skipping multiple days in a row. Gotta keep up my momentum. So, I'm back at it now. Back to work, back in the saddle! I really don't feel like it though. . .
But I pushed on and built out a simple quest manager. Well, Gemini did it for me. I asked one chat instance about what we had in discussed, then fed that to another chat instance. It output something wrong, a few times actually. But in the end, I think I have something to start. There's going to be a lot more to do, but I'm just not feeling it today. So I'll come back tomorrow to work on it more!
Edit: So, I decided to do a little bit more, and dig in a little bit about what exactly the quest manager does. So, I fed the script, as it is, to my main Gemini chat and had it look over the script for any issues. According to the AI, the even handling system is a bit inefficient. This makes sense, and I don't really plan on making any changes.
But there are still some systems that are incomplete. Like the pre-requisite system needs to be fleshed out a bit more maybe. And the quest completion stuff doesn't actually do anything yet. And I don't have all the signal connections quite right yet either. But at least it's a start and I know what I need to work on tomorrow!
