Template Building: More Layers
I dug back into creating my building template and ran into some blocks that have helped me change my approach a little bit. Instead of just 3 TileMapLayers, I've upped it to 5 and that may go up even more. As I continued drawing my template building I found I wasn't able to do everything I wanted using just the three layers I started with. So now I've broken the floor and walls apart into separate layers, and split the exterior walls and roof as well.
This will allow me to have finer control over how everything is drawn. I'm still not happy with how everything looks so far, but I'm getting closer. With the greater number of layers I can now only take the roof off without removing the outer walls. I just need to become a better world painter because this building looks like crap.
Not a whole lot else to report today, but this is still a great step in the right direction!
